What you will learn in this beginner painting class: The unique, fear-free method of learning beginner oil painting is geared towards total beginners who have not ever picked up a paintbrush (or it has been many, many years since you have). This beginner oil painting class will be kept small (maximum of 10 students), so that you receive a lot of one-on-one attention!
Explore a wide variety of painting tips and tools, including: color mixing, personal subject matter, composition, building texture through paint, palette knife painting, details with paintbrushes and more.
This class breaks down the fundamentals of oil painting into manageable blocks. Students will receive individual attention at every step along the way.
Each class will offer a lesson based on a chosen artist, a still life or a landscape. The student will use the subject for inspiration but paint their version of the subject. We will complete each class with a relaxed and positive discussion to review the work created in class.
Jump into the excitement of learning something new amongst a community of spirited oil painting beginners.
