April Flaherty

We are happy to welcome back April Flaherty. We all missed her and we're thrilled she's with us once again.

April is devoted to her students. She gently encourages each student to explore and experiment with mediums, thus taking their talents to the next level. The atmosphere of her classes is relaxed and nuturing.

April Flaherty is a Connecticut artist who has been drawing nature since childhood.

She attended the Art Institute of Boston and the Hartford Art School, and currently teaches botanical illustration at the New York Botanical Garden as well as art classes at the Silvermine Guild in New Canaan, CT.

Her work has been shown in juried shows throughout New England. She is a member of the Guild of Natural Science Illustrators and the American Society of Botanical Artists.
