Ceramic & Mixed Media Sculpture Workshop with Sana Musasama

Ceramic & Mixed Media Sculpture Workshop with Sana Musasama
Musasama's deeply felt sculptures reflect her unrelenting interest in, and keen sensitivity to, the human condition worldwide that she has witnessed as it played out in life dramas that tragically are accepted communal customs.

"My approach...my work is usually about an experience that triggers an emotion, sometimes a place or a particular time. I then submerge myself with information that enriches and nurtures these ideas. I often travel. When I feel this big, big presence, which I call an "extra heartbeat," I pick up my clay and begin to build."

"As a teacher, I function somewhat as a guide, leading my students on a journey through various steps and stages, exposing them to the rich and diverse history of the material. I encourage each individual to find, create, and develop their own unique path. I regard creative thinking as a necessary ingredient of intellectual development."

In this workshop, learn how to create sculptural pieces with clay as your medium.
