The Washington Art Association and Gallery is located at 4 Bryan Memorial Plaza in the center of Washington Depot, CT. The historical building was a former pharmacy and was moved to it’s present location after the flood of The Shepaug River in 1955. Waa’s facilities include 3 galleries and both an equipped pottery and fine arts studios with natural northern light. The association offers unique monthly exhibitions of emerging and established artists and classes, workshops, fundraising events, lecture, films and demos for the creative community of northwestern Connecticut. From Danbury/New Milford
Take Rt. 202 north approximately 3 miles and turn right at light onto Rt. 109. Continue on Rt. 109 approximately 6 miles; at the stop sign, turn right. Proceed two or three blocks and turn right into Bryan Memorial Plaza. WAA is at the end of the Plaza on the right.

From Southbury
Take exit 15 off of I-84, take Rt. 6 into Woodbury. At Canfield Corners, take left onto Rt. 47 and follow it 8+ miles, past Washington Green, down the hill, into Washington Depot. At bottom of hill, turn left into Bryan Memorial Plaza. WAA is at the end of the plaza on the right.

From Roxbury
take Rt. 67 to Rt. 199. At the stop sign, turn left onto Rt. 47 past Washington Green, down the hill, into Washington Depot. At bottom of hill, turn left into Bryan Memorial Plaza. WAA is at the end of the plaza on the right.

From Woodbury
Take Rt. 47 at Canfield Corners and follow it 8+ miles, past Washington Green, down the hill, into Washington Depot. At bottom of hill, turn left into Bryan Memorial Plaza. WAA is at the end of the plaza on the right.

From Litchfield
Take Rt. 202 south 6+ miles to Rt. 47. Continue on Rt. 47, turning right at T intersection. Take an immediate left into Bryan Memorial Plaza. WAA is at the end of the Plaza on the right.

From Kent
Take Rt. 341, traveling approximately 8+ miles then turning right at T intersection onto Rt. 202. Turn left onto Rt. 47 and travel for 3+ miles; at T intersection, turn right. Take an immediate left into Bryan Memorial Plaza. WAA is at the end of the Plaza on the right.


PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION

Alas, there is no public transportation in Washington Depot. If you are coming from New York City, you may take either the Metro North Harlem Line train to Harlem Valley Wingdale Station (in Duchess County, NY), or the Peter Pan Bus to Southbury, CT. In either case, you will need to make advance arrangements for a friend or taxi to pick you up and take you to Washington Depot.
