All levels of experience in clay are welcome as the class will be tailored to meet the goals and skill levels of all students. Both hand building and wheel techniques will be demonstrated throughout the session. Sketching, maquettes and critiques will be incorporated throughout the session. Beginners will learn all the skills necessary to create beautiful cups and bowls. More experienced potters will be challenged to focus on one or two techniques creating a themed body of work. Glazing techniques will be discussed and experimentation with scraffito, slip trailing, pouring and other skills will be encouraged.
