Our Landscape class will continue outdoors in winter. Discussions and demonstrations will be included on how an artist can

Studying light and atmosphere 'plein air' gives the student an understanding of nature which helps her understand how to bring any subject to life.

We will observe how atmosphere affects color and sunlight. We will learn how to express our individual vision of the colorful New England foliage. The various methods of sketching and painting will be reviewed. Oil, pastel and watercolor can be used while drawing and painting a landscape will be taught.

Beginners are welcomed and find the learning process enhanced by the presence of more accomplished students. Class meets at various locations in in our beautiful county.

This class is open to all levels of experience from beginner to intermediate to advanced students. The only requirements for this course are a willingness to learn and an openness to new ideas. All are welcome.
