Pottery & Ceramics: Wood-Fired Ceramics with Pam Church and Alison Palmer

Pottery & Ceramics: Wood-Fired Ceramics with Pam Church and Alison Palmer
Come join us to learn and see first-hand the excitement of wood-fired ceramics. In partnership with Alison Palmer, Ceramic Artist of Kent, CT, we will visit her studio and kiln during our first class. Alison will explain the process of wood-firing, show examples of wood-fired pieces, and explain some unique aspects of ceramics to keeping mind while we make pieces to be fired in her kiln at the end of the session. Students will then return to WAA to create and bisque pieces for the Cone 10 wood-firing. The last session or two will be spent glazing our work at Ms. Palmer's studio.

Come and create one-of-a-kind works and expand into the world of wood-firing! Intermediate potters are encouraged but all levels are welcomed.

25 lbs of cone 10 clay is included; firing fees extra
