The Art of Painting: In this class we will explore the numerous aspects of painting from stretching the canvas to the final varnishing of a finished work.   Along the way techinical skills will be taught enabling students to develope their own individual style. Discussed will be topics such as: What is light?, Why does it matter? In addition, other aspects that will be explored are grounds, dynamic compositions, chiaroscuro and value, atmosphic perspective, alla prima vs layered under painting techniques, controlling focus, color mixing and glazing, impasto, vanishing, and photgraphing your artwork. So come prepared to grow, develope new skills, and have some fun!

Tuition must be paid in full one week prior to the first class. Students are guaranteed a place in class only after full payment is received.

Materials are extra for some classes and workshops.
