This series of classes will continue to explore monotype printmaking but also introduce intaglio processes such as carborundum, dry point, mezzotint and aquatint, examples of which were included in the recent About Printmaking exhibition which has created great interest in alternative techniques. Participants will be shown how to operate the printing press under the guidance of the instructor as well as being shown how to print without a press.
Akua and Caligo non-toxic inks will be used where the solvent for cleanup is Dawn detergent. Therefore, artists will work in a fume-free environment.
No previous printmaking experience is necessary
